Very wrong. Look closely.

These people are eating with Styrofoam and plastic, both non-renewable, unhealthy and hopefully unacceptable in a healthy, natural diet. The paper napkins can be recycled, though that probably didn't happen. The plastic and Styrofoam are here to stay in one way or another for a very long time.Robin Follettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10089918182390554269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-864929814997566788.post-1516942750941683182007-10-03T06:23:00.000-04:002007-10-03T06:23:00.000-04:00As you may know, food today is not what it was 100...As you may know, food today is not what it was 100 or 200 years ago. Our soil has been depleted, and so even our fresh produce has only a fraction of the nutrition it had 100 years ago.

Farmers are beginning to learn about remineralizing their soil. You won't find it in factory farming but natural farmers are starting to work with agronomists to improve their soil with pure minerals. Farmers raising grass fed meats seem to understand this best. We are a very long way from making soil healthy again in general. Stick with naturally raised foods grown in healthy soil containing natural amendments to help keep vitamins and micronutrients in check.

"Is this a God-made food or a man-made product?"

Our lesson to our customers is brief - if man made it don't eat.

Pigs, shellfish, birds of prey, and the like are not to be eaten by man, and if they are, they will cause him to become sick and loaded with toxins that are destructive to the body.

Is this Old Testament?

How do you feel about pigs raised on pasture organically? Chickens? They're predatory meat eaters if raised in their natural setting. There's nothing like seeing a chicken running around with a screaming mouse and a dozen chickens behind it trying to steal the mouse. They'll also scratch through manure to eat pest larva and undigested grains. Grasshoppers and other insects and things such as slugs are meat. Chickens are an important part of pasture clean up following most livestock animals because they help control parasites. Chickens can be cannibalistic. Everything a chicken eats will be eaten by turkeys in a natural setting. I've never seen the ducks eat from manure but they prey on insect, slugs and worms. I think there are far more predatory birds than most people realize.

I don't think most consumers realize how many predatory birds they're eating each year. In general we've become too far removed from food production to understand and sadly, to even care. It's getting better though. Consumers are starting to pay more attention. As a small farmer raising food naturally, this is very encouraging.Robin Follettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10089918182390554269noreply@blogger.com
