CHECK OUT * TRADER JOE'S *
I'd like to recommend one of my favorite healthy grocery stores.
It's called T R A D E R J O E ' S and I just love this place!
At first glance, it may not look like a health food store because about 20% of the store is stocked with various kinds of wines and alcoholic beverages. Because of the dangers of sulfites and other chemicals which end up in wine, I wouldn't necessarily call wine a health food or healthy drink. Therefore, I want you to know that I'm really writing to share about the 80% of the rest of the store which is food products.
One more thing I need to clarify is that all of Trader Joe's food is NOT healthy. To put it another way, there are quite a few items in the store that I would classify as NOT healthy. However, in spite of the wine, alcoholic beverages, and some unhealthy foods, for the most part this is a great store to find very healthy food at a very reasonable price.
I encourage you to check out Trader Joe's and try some of their healthy foods. You will find them very reasonably priced; in fact, I believe they are considerably cheaper than most health food stores such as Whole Foods Market and Henry's.
While you're there, pick up one of their "Trader Joe's Fearless Flyers." In this newspaper format flyer, you can learn all about their latest products. Here are some examples of healthy foods that T.J.'s carries and that are writte up in this Fearless Flyer.
Hearty Wholesome Organic Instant Oatmeal, Organic Salad Kit, Multigrain Pastas with Flax, Complete Body Cleanse Internal Cleansing System, All Natural Ground Chicken, Quinoa Wheat Bread, Spinach and Feta Stuffed Norwegian Salmon, 17 Bean & Barley Soup Mix, California Estate Grown Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Agave Sweetener, Pure Psyllium, Olive Tapenade with Kalamata and Black Olives, Go Raw Trek Mix, Organic Marinara, etc.
Where's the nearest Trader Joe's?
Check out Trader Joe's website for locations, maps, and door-to-door driving directions.

Dear health conscious friends,
I'm on vacation right now, so I don't have a lot of time to write my typical lengthy blog posting.
However, I did find this very interesting article on Dr. Mercola's website all about the toxic dangers and other side effects of artificial sweeteners. Please be sure to read Dr. Mercola's comments at the end of the article.

Shocking Beef Recall - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast on Organic Whole Food

Click on the link below and
read what's happening with
our school children, beef products, and the USDA.
It is truly shocking what has happened...
This link will connect you to an article
at the website for Natural News by Mike Adams.
USDA Recalls 143 Million Pounds of Beef Products Already Consumed by Schoolchildren; Slaughterhouse Atrocities Shock World
My commentary:
With all that's going on in the beef industry, poultry industry, and with other meat products, consumers must be on their guard, get educated about what's really happening to our meat and food supply, and start making better choices.
I personally recommend that you buy only organic grass-fed free-range beef that comes from animals that have NOT been fed GMO grain, have NOT been fed or injected with hormones, have NOT been given antibiotics, and that have been treated humanely.
How do you find this kind of meat? You have to take responsibility for your own health and your family's health, and you have to go out and do some research wherever you live until you find meat products that are actually safe and good for your health. Stop buying your meats at the grocery store. Stop buying the cheapest meats that you can find. Be willing to spend more money on meat that is safe and good for you, and stop wasting your money on processed beef that is unsafe, unhealthy, and actually dangerous to your health. Go to your local health food store and start asking questions about where you can find the healthiest meat. Look on the internet. Talk to people who know about and value organic food. And finally, beware of all of these health destroying processed meat products that are served in all of the fast food restaurants, in almost all restaurants, and that are being served to your kids at school.
Finally, if you live in the country like I do, you might even consider raising a few cows or bulls of your own for meat. I'm planning on doing this quite soon because I will know exactly what grass and hay that I've fed my animals. If this is too much for you to do, find a neighbor or someone locally who does this and get your meat from them.

An Apple A Day - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast on Organic Whole Food
EAT AN ORGANIC APPLE EVERY DAY
I'm sure you've all heard this popular saying,
"AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY"
Is there any truth to this popular proverb?
Let me tell you; I'm living proof that this proverb is true. For many years I've started my day with some kind of fruit, usually an apple, because I've known that it helps to cleanse my colon and to aid my body in the morning elimination process.
As you may not know, there is only one time during the day to eat fruit, and that is always on an empty stomach. The best time is in the morning after you've gotten up, had a large glass of water to drink, and have started your day. It is during the morning hours that your body is designed to eliminate the food that it has digested from the evening before. You don't really want to eat a large heavy breakfast during the morning elimination cycle. Instead, you should focus on eating a delicious organic apple and possibly one other fruit. You can eat fruit at other times during the day as a snack, but always make sure that it's on an empty stomach. The worst thing you can do is to eat fruit after a meal or with a meal because it will surely ferment in your intestines and cause you lots of problems.
Apples are great at cleaning out your system and aiding your body in the elimination process. It's only a short while after eating my morning apple that my body experiences a significant bowel movement as part of eliminating the previous evening's meal.
The best fruits to eat that will aid your body in the elimination cycle are:
organic apples, avocados, organic grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, organic prunes, fresh organic or dried unsulfered apricots, dates, dried figs, organic cherries, organic pears, grapefruit, oranges, raspberries, boysenberries, organic strawberries, guava, mangoes, and papayas.
These are the best morning fruits to eat because they each have a good amount of FIBER in them which will aid in the elimination process.

Top 12 Organic Foods - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast on Organic Whole Food
I found this article on the top 12 foods to eat organic on the Daily Green website.
www.thedailygreen.com
"Not all of us can afford to go 100% organic. The solution? Focus on just those foods that are laden with the highest amounts of pesticides, chemicals, additives and hormones and deploy your organic spending power on buying organic versions of these whenever possible. Can't find organic versions of these foods? We've listed safer alternatives that contain the same valuable vitamins and minerals.
1. Beef - According to the Environmental Protection Agency, "meat contains higher levels of pesticides than any of the plant foods." Similar to milk and milk-based dairy products, many chemical pesticides end up in the animal, which end up in you.
2. Milk - The fat in dairy products is another haven for pesticides and chemicals. They also concentrate in the fatty tissues of animals, which gets passed on to you through their milk. Antibiotics and bovine growth hormones are another concern and found in commercial milk, cheese and butter. Organic dairies do not use antibiotics or growth hormones like rGBH or rbST.
3. Coffee - Many of the beans you buy are grown in countries that don't regulate use of chemicals and pesticides. Look for the Fair Trade Certified label on the coffee package or can; it will give you some assurance that chemicals and pesticides were not used on the plants. It will also mean that fair prices were paid for the end product in support of the farm and that farm workers are treated fairly.
4. Peaches - Forty-five different pesticides are regularly applied to these delicately skinned fruits in conventional orchards. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Watermelon, tangerines, oranges and grapefruit.
5. Apples - Scrubbing and peeling doesn't eliminate chemical residue completely so it's best to buy organic when it comes to apples. Peeling a fruit or vegetable also strips away many of their beneficial nutrients. Organic apples taste sweeter than conventionally grown, too. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Watermelon, bananas and tangerines.
6. Sweet Bell Peppers - Peppers have thin skins that don't offer much of a barrier to pesticides. They're one of te most heavily sprayed vegetables out there and victim to thirty-nine pesticides commonly use to keep them insect-free. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Green peas, broccoli and cabbage.
7. Celery - Celery has no protective skin, which makes it almost impossible to wash off the twenty-nine different chemicals that are used on conventional crops. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Broccoli, radishes and onions.
8. Strawberries - On average, strawberries receive a dose of up to 500 pounds of pesticides per acre. If you buy strawberries out of season, they're most likely imported from countries that use less-stringent regulations for pesticide use. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Blueberries, kiwi and pineapples.
9. Lettuces - Leafy greens are frequently contaminated with want are considered the most potent pesticides used on food. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Cabbage, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.
10. Grapes - Imported grapes run a much greater risk of contamination than those grown domestically. Vineyards can be sprayed with thirty-five different pesticides during different growth periods of the grape and no amount of washing or peeling will eliminate contamination because of the grape's permeable thin skin. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Blueberries, kiwi and raspberries.
11. Potatoes - America's popular spud ranks hight for pesticide residue. It also gets the double whammy of fungicides added to the soil for growing. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Eggplant, cabbage and earthy mushrooms.
12. Tomatoes - The standard regimen of pesticides used on conventionally raised tomatoes are thirty. Their easily punctured skins are no match for chemicals that will eventually permeate the whole tomato. Can't find organic? Safe alternatives: Green peas, broccoli and asparagus.
If the cost of buying all organics isn't within your budget, fear not. Check out The Daily Green's top ten list of fruit and vegetables you don't need to buy organic, with tips for buying and how to clean, store and use them in delicious recipes."

Hippocrates' Advice - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast on Organic Whole Food
"Your Food Will Be Your Remedy," said Hippocrates, the great physician-teacher and father of medicine. In this profound maxim, Hippocrates described the secret to living a healthy lifestyle; namely, eating a live healthy organic whole food diet.
Natural, organic, whole food such as fresh fruits, berries, greens, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and sprouts have remarkable nutritive compounds that give life to the human body and help cleanse, purify, and rebuild the body when it is weakened and struggling to overcome ailments. These live whole foods are loaded with thousands of naturally occurring nutritional compounds, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, antioxidants, live enzymes, and amino acids in their natural synergistic state that can only be obtained from these live foods. These bioavailable nutrients cannot be isolated and placed into a synthetic vitamin or mineral supplement. Learn to enjoy the Feast of local, fresh, all natural, live organic whole foods every day.
"True wisdom consists in not departing from nature, but molding our conduct according to her wise laws." - Seneca
Now, think with me for a moment about your daily diet.
Is the food you're eating being a "remedy" or a "curse" to your body?
If you were to take Hippocrates' wisdom and apply it to your lifestyle,
what would your eating habits look like?
What kind of nutrition would you be putting into your body?
Which denatured processed toxic foods would you stop buying and stop eating?
What fresh fruits & vegetables would you start eating several times a day?
I created this blog to be personal and practical, not theoretical. My hope is that the information you learn from this blog will lead you to make some very significant changes to your eating habits.
Start applying this ancient wisdom to your diet today by making good nutritional choices one day at a time. Decide right now that your food will be your remedy and that you will start eating healthy.

Become a Locavore - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy with Organic Whole Food Feast
"L-O-C-A-V-O-R-E?"
Today I'd like to share an article with you that I found on Mike Adam's website, NaturalNews, focused on an interesting new word, "LOCAVORE."
(NaturalNews) Ever hear the word “locavore?” This was the New Oxford American Dictionary word of the year for 2007. A locavore is a person who chooses to eat food that has been grown and produced locally...
Please click on the link below to read the whole article.

Doctrine of Signatures - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy with Organic Whole Food Feast
What Part of the Human Body
Does a Pair of Hanging Figs Look Like?
Today I'd like to share a very interesting article with you by Robin Plan that I found on her website. She actually found this great information on another site: Just A List
"I came across an amazing post on Just A List that I have to pass along.
The doctrine of signatures is an ancient European philosophy that held that plants bearing parts that resembled human body parts, animals, or other objects, had useful relevancy to those parts, animals or objects.
Susan put a lot of time into the her post so look at the samples here and then jump over to
Just A List to view the rest. It's fun and educational.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Eggplant, Avocadoes and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? .... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Thanks Susan." - by Robin Plan

8 Tips to Eating Healthy & Keys to Good Nutrition - Uri Feast Yuri
Knowing WHAT good nutrition to eat is critical to eating healthy. However, it's also important to learn HOW to eat properly because the way you eat affects your health. I would like to give you eight keys on proper eating habits. Print these out, put them on your fridge, and make them part of your daily eating habits at home, at work, and when you're out.
Key #1 - Eat only when you are truly hungry. If you aren't hungry at mealtime, skip the meal. Too often people end up eating when they aren't even hungry purely out of habit instead of need, which becomes a very unhealthy habit. It's time to break this habit starting today.
Key #2 - Eat slowly and chew your food well. The enzymes in your saliva begin the digestion process, so chew your food thoroughly and never eat in a hurry. Far too many people suffer from poor digestion because they don't practice this common sense principle.
"Chew your solid foods until they are liquid; no stomach has teeth." - Paul C. Bragg
Key #3 - Relax when you eat and make it a truly enjoyable culinary experience. This is something we can learn from some of the more laid back southern Europeans (think Italians, Greeks, Spaniards) who truly take the time to relax and enjoy social time around their meals. Also, never eat when you are upset because your emotional turmoil will lead to digestive turmoil as well. It's simply better to avoid food when you're emotionally upset.
Key #4 - Practice conscious under-eating. The less you eat, the better you will feel because your digestive system will not be overloaded. This is the most important #1 health and longevity principle that you can live by. Remember, over-eating is one of the main causes of premature aging and degenerative illnesses, so learn to eat less and take smaller portions. In fact, exert the discipline it takes to not go back for seconds when the urge arises.
Key #5 - Eat fruit by itself. Don't mix fruit with your meal; it is best eaten alone for digestion purposes. Many older people say that they can't eat fruit because it gives them gas. However, the real problem is not the fruit, but rather that they are eating fruit along with other foods which causes it to putrefy in their systems. The secret to eating fruit is simply to eat it by itself on an empty stomach.
Key #6 - Eat your whole meal within a one-hour period. Do not go past 60 minutes because your body will kick in another boost of insulin. This one key will help you improve your health and it is a key factor in controling your insulin and your weight gain.
Key #7 - Learn not to drink fluids while eating your meal. Liquids will only dilute the digestive enzymes and slow down the whole digestion process. There is a time to drink lots of liquids, and that time is between meals, not during meals. Drinking during meals is a very silly practice that most of us are guilty of, and yet we do it out of habit. What's the first thing the waitress says when you sit down? "What can I get you to drink?" Remember, you're there to eat, not to drink. By the way, it also adds considerably to the final bill and the tip.
Key #8 - Give thanks to God for the food He provides you. Be grateful for the abundance of His provision. Thank Him for giving you food to eat, for your health, and for life itself.
Bonus Suggestions - Eat several smaller meals in preference to two larger meals. Also, try not to mix too many foods at any one meal. Keeping it simple will enhance your digestion and assimilation. And finally, don't mix raw vegetables and raw fruits at the same meal because the digestive enzymes are incompatible, and this will result in gas and poor digestion.

Juice Fasting Regularly - Keys to Eating Healthy and to Good Nutrition Feast Uri Yuri

8 Day Juice Fast Extremely Successful & Rewarding!
I have just completed an 8-day juice fast and I feel absolutely fantastic! I'd like to share with you how my fast went and what was accomplished.
My main reasons for doing this fast were to clean out my colon, detoxify my body, give my body a chance to rest and rebuild itself, rejuvenation, a marriage breakthrough, and a spiritual breakthrough. I know, that's a lot of purposes to have when going on a juice fast, but these were the needs in my life that needed a breakthrough.
"The single most powerful tool I have seen for optimum health and rejuvenation is the JUICE FAST!" - Dr. Otto Burchinger, M.D.
We all need to come to the realization and experience that regular, periodic juice fasting is one of the essential keys to good nutrition and to eating healthy.
I'd like to share the details of my current juice fast with you to show you what's it's like and what you need to remember to do in order to be successful in your juice fasting.
My last meal was a healthy dinner on Saturday, January 26th.
Day 1 - Sunday, Jan. 27 - 175 pounds. Drank juices & water. Morning & evening enemas.
Day 2 - Monday, Jan. 28 - 173 pounds. Drank juices & water, with morning & evening enemas.
Day 3 - Tues, Jan 29 - 170 pounds. Drank juices & water, with morning & evening enemas.
Day 4 - Wed, Jan 30 - 168 pounds. Drank juices & water. Morning & evening enemas.
Day 5 - Thurs, Jan 31 - 168 pounds. Same as above...
Day 6 - Frid, Feb 1 - 167 pounds. Same as above...
Day 7 - Sat. Feb 2 - 165 pounds. Drank juices & water. Only morning enema.
Day 8 - Sun. Feb 3 - 163 pounds. Drank juices & water. Only morning enema.
Broke the fast Sunday evening at 5:30 pm with a raw apple and some cinnamon.
I was able to work a full 50 hour work week without any problem. I had plenty of energy and my mind was very clear. On the 7th day, I actually helped my sister-in-law move all day, which included a lot of heavy lifting. Surprisingly, I had plenty of energy to do it without any problem.
With all the enemas I did, my body was able to detoxify and cleanse itself of a lot of putrid crud that had been built up in my colon over the last several years. At times it was scary to see how much awful stuff I had stuck up in me that only came out as a direct result of the juice fast, the colon cleansing herbs and ingredients that I took, and the two daily enemas.
On day 5, I had the most disgusting crud come out of me, and it reminded me exactly of some photos I had seen on some colon cleansing websites of long putrid crud that other people have been able to purge their bodies of through juice fasting and colon cleansing. So...I, too, took a picture of it to remind myself of the power of a juice fast to cleanse the colon. If you're squeamish, don't look at the photo. For those of you who get grossed out easily, I'll post the photo at the bottom of the email so that you don't have to see it.
By day 8, my morning enema revealed no more solid poop in me, so I felt like it was time to end the fast. I'm still amazed at how much horrid stuff came out of me through 8 days of juice fasting and taking enemas twice a day. It's rather shocking and disgusting!
By the time I broke the fast tonight at the end of the 8th day, I had lost 12 pounds! I look a whole lot thinner and my friends and family have commented on it. More importantly, I feel a whole lot cleaner and healthier, my body feels like it experienced quite a bit of detoxification, I feel rejuvenated and energetic, I experienced a breakthrough in my marriage, and I feel like I've had a real spiritual breakthrough.
Was it worth it? Oh YES!
Was it hard? Not really. It was actually a lot easier than I expected, and it was a whole lot easier than doing a water only fast. After about the 6th day, I did start missing food when I was around it, and everything in my wife's kitchen looked and smelled great.
Will I do it again? YES, of course! I'll continue fasting one day a week for general upkeep of my colon, but I'll also plan on doing an extended juice fast at least two or three times a year.
I strongly recommend that you get yourself a good enema kit, some of Uri International's live whole food based InstaFresh juice powder mixes, and plan your first juice fast some time in the next three weeks.
Remember these important parts of JUICE FASTING:
1. Drink only fresh homemade juices, spring water, homemade vegetable broth, and any combination of the live whole food based InstaFresh super juice powdered drink mixes by Uri such as The Feast, Beyond Berries, Barley Pure, Sweet Careet, etc.
I drank a smoothie every morning made from the following ingredients: 2 scoops of The Feast & 1 scoop of Barley Pure by Uri, half a raw lemon, cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, Himalayan salt water, 2 tablespoons freshly ground flaxseed, 1 scoop of Multi Clean Colon Support by Uri, 1 scoop of psyllium husk seeds, 1 tablespoon of raw honey. In the afternoon and in the evening, I've been drinking a serving of the live whole food based InstaFresh super juice powdered drink, the Feast and Beyond Berries, by Uri.
2. Add some kind of colon cleaning support to your drinks once a day. In my case, I used "Multi Clean Colon Support" by Uri International. I also added two droppers of Fresh Green Black Walnut Wormwood Complex to my morning and evening smoothies.
3. Do a morning and evening enema with lukewarm water. You can find directions on how to do this on my blog. This is a critical step to make sure you do because it helps to get the old feces and toxic material out of your colon while you're on your fast. You'll need a simple $15 enema kit to do this yourself.
4. Do a morning and evening dry brush massage. This is simply a rough brush that you brush all over your body to rub off dead skin and to help remove the toxins that are being expelled through your skin. A dry brush massage is quite an invigorating experience and very healthy for you.
5. Do some kind of moderate daily exercise such as walking for 30-60 minutes. I strongly encourage you to go for a long walk in the morning and again in the late afternoon or early evening.
6. Stay away from the kitchen unless you're preparing your smoothie or juice or vegetable broth. You don't want to hang around food or people eating food which may prove to be a temptation.
7. Get plenty of rest every night and try to go to bed early.
8. Keep doing your normal work routine, and you'll be surprised that you'll have a lot of energy as your fast progresses.

Expose Documentary on FoxNews & Monsanto About Milk - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast Uri Yuri
Most people have no idea of how Big Government, Big Business, Big Pharma (Drug companies), and Big Media really operate behind the scenes, or how they actually work together to make Big Money.
Below is a link to a very revealing video that reveals the collusion between all four of these entities.
You may even be shocked at what you learn.
The key lesson is to understand that YOU MUST take self-responsibility for your life in all areas. This is one of the most important keys to good nutrition and tips to eating healthy.
This stuff can only be stopped by exposing it for what it is, and people becoming ecucated and taking action, just like this piece is doing.

It's Time for Juice Fasting - Keys to Good Nutrition & Tips to Eating Healthy Feast Uri Yuri
"The single most powerful tool I have seen for optimum health and rejuvenation is the JUICE FAST!" - Dr. Otto Burchinger, M.D.
After completing my 12-Part series on Juice Fasting a few weeks ago, I was very motivated and ready to go on an extended juice fast myself. Normally I fast once a week on Mondays to give my system a rest. However, several times a year I like to go on an extended juice fast. Periodic juice fasting is one of the essential keys to good nutrition and to eating healthy.
Here are the things that I have been doing every day that you'll want to do when you juice fast:
1. Drink only fresh homemade juices, water, homemade vegetable broth, and any combination of the live whole food based InstaFresh super juice powdered drink mixes by Uri such as The Feast, Beyond Berries, Barley Pure, Sweet Careet, etc.
I have actually been drinking a smoothie every morning made from the following ingredients: 2 scoops of The Feast & 1 scoop of Barley Pure by Uri, half a raw lemon, cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, Himalayan salt water, 2 tablespoons freshly ground flaxseed, 1 scoop of Multi Clean Colon Support by Uri, 1 scoop of psyllium husk seeds, 1 tablespoon of raw honey. 2. Add some kind of colon cleaning support to your drinks once a day. In my case, I used "Multi Clean Colon Support" by Uri International.
3. Do a morning and evening enema with lukewarm water. You can find directions on how to do this on my blog. 7. Get plenty of rest every night and try to go to bed early.
8. Keep doing your normal work routine, and you'll be surprised that you'll have a lot of energy as your fast progresses.
SO FAR...this has been a very easy fast for me to do. I haven't had any problems so far. I've felt plenty of energy and take walks whenever I can. I have had good sleep as well. My body feels like it is getting thinner, healthier, and more energetic. I'm working full 8-10 hour days with no problems whatsoever. My thinking is clearer than ever, and my spirit is spiritually in tune with God and hearing His voice. I'm not sure how long I will continue this juice fast, but for now, I feel like I could go on indefinitely...
